Oh yes she did! Mum and Dad left for their holiday yesterday, and what do you think I found in the kitchen next to the stove when I got home from work?? Yes, a bloody FIRE EXTINGUISHER!! Obviously the stack of notes instructing us to 'lock the front door' and 'water the plants (complete with how much per plant!) wasn't sufficient protection against us wrecking the house... I don't know whether to find it hilarious or hilariously insulting! I mean, god knows how we all lived on our own for years without burning our respective rented homes down... right?? I mean we ARE all almost in our 30's. Nowhere near enough life experience to know how to cook dinner without setting the kitchen ablaze. Perhaps next time you should hide all the sharp knives? No wait, they don't pose a threat to the house, only us... so they can stay, right?
Seriously Mum... A frigging fire extinguisher?? I think maybe next time i go on holiday i should leave you a panic alarm and zimmer frame, plus the number for emergency services by the phone JUST in case you have a senior moment while i'm gone... right? After all, you're nearly 60...
