Famous scrambled eggs

You may not think there's many famous mixed race celebrities out there, and perhaps to the western world there isn't due to the fact that they're bigger stars in Asia, but there's definitely some who have made it big. Being mixed causcasian/white and oriental/asian is a rarer mix than other races, so to be able to identify with similarly mixed celebs is a novelty... plus it doesn't do any harm when they're pretty hot too right?! Surprisngly I discovered when I was researching eurasians (as we are so affectionately dubbed) that there is a definite gender imbalance. There's a hell of a lot more mixed girls out there than guys! Take a look for yourself here!

So I thought I'd highlight one or two of the mixed asian faces out there for those of you who aren't aware they exist... to be fair to the guys who read this blog, I'll mention one of the most recognisable mixed race girls out there first...

Kristin is most famous for her role as Lana Lang in Smallville, the US TV series documenting Superman's school and college years. She's Canadian born to a father of Dutch descent and Chinese mother who was born in Indonesia, but who's grandmother was born in Jamaica (sounds as confusing as my family!). She's soon to star in the new film Street Fighter: The legend of Chun Li as Chun Li.

Myleene Class

Those of you who read this blog in other countries probably won't have a clue who this is, but in the UK she's a fairly recognisable face. Myleene has an Austrian/English father and Filipino mother. She was part of the pop band Hear'say before becoming a successful TV presenter and model for Marks and Spencers.

Ok on to my personal (and recent) favourite...

Daniel is a Korean actor, famous for various films including the one I just watched today called Seducing mister perfect. Born in America to an American father with British background and Korean mother who was adopted at the age of one, Daniel has had a sucessful modelling career as well as starring in Korean TV series. He is also to act alongside Hugh Jackman in the upcoming film X-Men Origins: Wolverine, as Agent Zero. He is also now officially my latest eye candy wallpaper for my laptop. Yum.

Yes, Bruce Lee was mixed race! Although his father was Chinese, his mother was mixed Chinese German. Rsponsible for bringing Kung Fu to the western world and introducing martial arts cinema to America, Bruce Lee is probably one of the most famous Chinese stars of all time.

Yes, you'd never believe it, but reggae rapper Sean Paul is 1/4 Chinese, along with Afro-Carribean, Jewish and Poruguese thrown in to the mix! Grammy award winning Sean was born in Jamaica, where both his Jewish/Portugese father and Afro-Carribean/Chinese mother were born.

So, as you can see, there's a lot of us mixed asian oriental faces out there... and some of us aren't too shabby looking either!
