Credit munch...

Looks like even munchkins aren't immune to the credit crunch. The annual Wizard of Oz fesitval was cancelled this year after 26 years. The official line was that people just don't have the cash to spare to go celebrate with the yellow brick road little people... plus the weather is bad. Hmm... I think perhaps the fact that they're all rather advanced in years and not so sprightly anymore may be a contributing factor to the no show of die hard Oz fans? Only three were well enough to make it this year! Or perhaps all the kids who loved the era of Dorothy and Toto have popped their clogs themselves and outlived the lolly licking tot sized stars? I guess we'll never know... but retirement has finally beckoned...
