Can I make 1000?

My aim for 2009... to make one thousand paper cranes and get my wish... my friend taught me to make these cute paper birds and I've become a little addicted. Instead of sitting at home surfing facebook endlessly, I have now taken to lying in bed, watching TV and folding tiny colourful paper cranes and popping them into a little glass jar. So far I've made fourteen... so I think I'm a good way off my target! But, it's only January!

Good luck with that. Make sure you keep track of these. I knew someone who did the same thing but lost track of how many she did at around 700 and got really frustrated and gave up cause she didnt want to count them again...

You can totally do it! I have never tried to do it before but I am pretty sure if you give yourself a target goal daily you can do it. Log your counts that way you don't have to do any recounts. At one point I was making the origami flowers nonstop, but I became annoyed with people trying to take one every time I was done making one! Anyhow, good luck on your wish making extravaganza!
