First there was the Kickbee, a sensor which updates a twitter feed for unborn babies, posting an message every time they kicked... now your household plants can have their own twitter feed, telling the world when they're dying of thirst.
A company has come up with the either ingenius or idiotic (depending if you're both green fingered and a total tech geek or not, which incidentally
don't really seem like two traits that go hand in hand) Botanicalls kit. Simply poke the sensor into the plant pot, and your plant will post a twitter message to avert defoliage-causing dehydration. Gives a whole new big brother slant on telling your mates to water your plants while you're off on holiday...
