Louis Walsh... what an idiot!
Louis Walsh is not my most favourite person on TV. His repetitive and predictable "you're the next big thing/boy band" bland comments on X Factor irritate me beyond belief, and I'm amazed he still works on the show given the disastrous song choices and styling he's chosen for his now all departed acts. Louis has apparently slammed Adele for having a baby and not returning to work straight away. He was quoted as saying "If we had someone like Adele, no way would she not be working now. Fine, have a baby. But then go back out there before they forget who you are. She'd be on the every TV show and there'd be another album already. Work the room that's my philosophy."
What an idiot. She's just had a frigging baby! What's she supposed to do? Plonk it in a cot, pay a stranger to mind it and bugger off to a few celebrity parties? Might win her a few more music awards but its not going to win her mother of the year is it?! Has he no clue about breast feeding and how much a new born baby depends on its mother? What a prat. But then again, anyone who thinks Jedward have talent is a bit of a tool so I suppose we shouldn't be surprised at his idiotic comments.
It does highlight the ignorance that's out there and pressure women face to return to work as quickly as possible after having a child. Those who haven't had the blessing of having a baby may not realise just how traumatic and difficult leaving a newborn to return to the workplace can be, not to mention the financial issues with finding affordable child are (not looking forward to tackling that one! £40-60 a DAY for nursery!!). Having a kid isn't easy! Trust me working in an office is a hell of a lot easier!
