China makes it RAIN!
Ok, not strictly true... they actually made it SNOW! Yup, that's right, scientists in Beijing have actually 'seeded' clouds to snow! How bonkers is that?! Not using a artificial snow machine like you get at the indoor ski slopes, but actual snow, from the sky, artificially!
I have to admit, when I read "Chinese meteorologists covered Beijing in snow Sunday after seeding clouds to bring winter weather to the capital in an effort to combat a lingering drought" I had visions of some wacky mad Chinese scientist sprinking rain seeds into the clouds and then wafting them off over Beijing. Obviously NOT how they did it but I have an over active imagination hehe!
